What is the difference between a glass plate and a plastic plate?
I am doing a science project with my sister and she wanted to know the difference between a glass plate and a plastic plate? Like how much would the glass plate weigh and how much would the plastic plate weigh??
A glass plate is made of glass, with the main composition to be silicon dioxide. A plastic plate is made of plastic, with the main composition to be organic polymers. The glass plate may weigh heavier or lighter than the plastic plate does, depending on their (different) volumes. But usually, plastic density is lower than the glass density, thus a plastic plate may feel "light".
